SOLID TOP-10 FINISH FOR RODGERS IN POCONO RACEWAY RETURN

LONG POND, P.A. (July 30, 2018) – Will Rodgers was anxious to make his return to Pocono Raceway for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards ModSpace 150. Rodgers was making his only track return with the Ken Schrader Racing team at the ‘Tricky Triangle’ in 2018.

Through practice, the No. 52 Drydene Performance Products Ford struggled with tight conditions, making it difficult for Rodgers to make good time exiting the corners. Between practice and qualifying, the KSR crew took a big swing with adjustments to help the drivability of the racecar. Rodgers qualified in the twelfth-starting position.

“Back here in June, we surely did not get the finish we wanted for Drydene,” said Rodgers pre-race. “For me, Dave [Klinger], and everyone else, that just served as extra motivation for my team and me to work that much harder this time around.”

When the green flag dropped on the ModSpace 150, Rodgers’ No. 52 Drydene Performance Products Ford moved up to the eleventh position. Feeling the intensity throughout the 150-mile event, Rodgers saw his fair share of three-wide racing, including another car that contacted him in turn three before slamming the outside wall. Rodgers held his line during the incident, keeping the Ford straight as the caution came out.

After a lengthy clean-up for the accident, the green flag would drop with less than 15 laps to the halfway point. With rain drops approaching the area, the intensity level heightened for Rodgers as he drove up to the seventh position. The caution would wave on lap 31 for heavy rains, thus putting a halt on the ModSpace 150 ARCA Racing event at Pocono Raceway. With the race made official shortly after, Rodgers would end up with an eighth-place finish.

“You hate to see rain cut a race short, but I can’t complain about a top-ten finish at Drydene’s home track,” exclaimed Rodgers post-race. “We were definitely making some time during that last run, but you can’t change the weather. I’m thankful for a solid finish and truly appreciative of all the support Drydene has given me this weekend.”

DRYDENE WORKS RACING INTO CUSTOMER PROMOTION

Winning Customers Make trip to Pocono Raceway

JONESTOWN, PA (July 26, 2018) – Drydene Performance Products’ branding has been seen at several racetracks during the 2018 racing season through venue signage and team sponsorships including this weekend’s primary sponsorship of the No. 52 Drydene Performance Products Ford driven by Will Rodgers in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.

Looking to continue growing the brand, Drydene wanted to connect its heritage customers and new accounts with its racing platform. To do so Drydene created the “No. 52 Quarter Panel Competition” for the internal sales group to actively engage existing and prospective customers. The promotion was based on a points system for entries, with winners randomly drawn to have their logo on the car, suite passes to view the ARCA race, hotel accommodations and customer dinner with the race team and driver prior to the event.

“Our Drydene Quarter Panel Competition was a great promotion over the last two months, and to see our grand prize winner Stateline Truck and Trailer on the car will be a thrill for both Drydene and the employees of Stateline. We are looking forward to seeing Will race this Friday in the Drydene No. 52 Ford Fusion, and even more excited to host some of our best customers in Pocono for the ARCA race,” said Drydene Performance Products President, Dave Klinger.

In addition to Stateline Truck and Trailer being the grand-prize winner with primary position on the rear quarter panel of the car, there were seven runner-up customers whose logos will be featured on the decklid of the No. 52 Ken Schrader entry at ‘The Tricky Triangle’. Those customers are: Hawk Auto, Town and Country Auto Repair, Inc., Great Lakes Crushing, Monumental Paving and Excavating, Camz Corp – Lubes, Platinum Car Wash & Auto Spa and Causeway Ford.

“It is so cool to see all of these Drydene customers jumping onboard my car for the race at Pocono. I am hoping to bring home a top-ten on their behalf, and of course for Drydene. They have been such a great partner of mine, and I can see how passionate they are about their customers,” said Rodgers, heading into his second race at the Pocono tri-oval.

WILL RODGERS LOOKING FORWARD TO RETURN TO POCONO FOR ARCA RACE

CONCORD, N.C. (July 25, 2018) – Will Rodgers is headed to the 2.5-mile Pocono Raceway after a three week break from ARCA Series race competition.

Rodgers, born in Maui, Hawaii in 1994, will compete in Friday’s ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards ModSpace 150 at Pocono Raceway; his first return visit to the tri-oval located in the Pocono Mountains.

Rodgers is a member of the NASCAR Next program and is looking to see better results from his first outing of an 18th place finish at the Tricky Triangle last month.

“I’m looking forward to returning to Pocono Raceway this week in the No. 52 Drydene Performance Products Ford. I learned a ton from our June race, and am hoping for a better finish with this second go-around. Pocono Raceway has been hosting ARCA Racing Series events since 1987 and has hosted two ARCA Racing Series events each year since 1988. Rodgers started fifth in the June race.

Drydene Performance Products Expands Its Sponsorship of
Logan Schuchart and Shark Racing

JONESTOWN, PA (June 6, 2018) – Drydene Performance Products, a well-respected automotive, commercial, heavy duty and industrial lubricant brand, announced today it is increasing its partnership with World of Outlaws (WoO) Craftsman Sprint Car Series standout Logan Schuchart and Shark Racing.

After an initial sponsorship run over five recent races, the Drydene partnership with Schuchart and Shark Racing is expanding to include the remaining World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series races through the end of the season. The Shark Racing No. 1s will carry the Drydene Lubricants brand mark in prominent positions on both sideboards of the top wing and the full center section of the top wing.

“These are exciting times for all of us at Drydene Performance Products and partnering with a rising star like Logan Schuchart and his legendary grandfather Bobby Allen adds to it,” said Dave Klinger, President of Drydene Performance Products. “A passion for racing and hard work is something Drydene values, and there is no better example of hard work than Logan and the Shark Racing team. In addition, Sprint car racing is an excellent platform for Drydene and works seamlessly with our recent motorsports initiatives including a primary sponsorship with Will Rogers and Kenny Schrader in the ARCA Series.”

Coming off of their recent announcement of three additional races with Will Rodgers and Ken Schrader Racing in the ARCA series, Drydene’s increased commitment to Schuchart and Shark Racing was a natural progression for the brand.

“I’m excited to continue this partnership with Drydene for the rest of the season,” said Schuchart. “Drydene is an unbelievable brand with a strong heritage, and the company has always followed a customer-first philosophy while providing great service for 125 years. We are looking forward to carrying Drydene with us as we continue to chase success with the World of Outlaws.”

“I’m blown away to say the least, but so happy about this relationship,” Allen said. “I came up to Drydene’s primary market many, many years ago because Sprint car racing in Central Pennsylvania was known as the best place in the world to race. It was certainly true and led to a really successful career for me driving. Now I’m living out a dream of racing with my grandson (Logan) and my son (Jacob Allen) all the across the country. We’ve come a long way and now being able to represent Drydene while racing is beyond words to me. I can’t stop smiling. We’re going to take them for one heckuva ride.”

Drydene Performance Products, originally started in Baltimore, Maryland, is now headquartered in Jonestown, Pennsylvania. Drydene has been a commercial and automotive product staple in the mid-Atlantic region dating back to the 19th century. The brand’s product lineup includes engine, transmission and hydraulic oils, as well as greases, gear lubricants and DEF, along with other Functional Fluids.

WILL RODGERS GEARS UP FOR GENERAL TIRE #ANYWHEREISPOSSIBLE200

CONCORD, N.C. (May 30, 2018) – Will Rodgers, a two-time NASCAR K&N Pro Series winner and new member of the NASCAR Next program is looking to continue his momentum from an eighth-place finish in last Thursday’s General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Rodgers, born in Maui, Hawaii in 1994, will compete in this Friday’s ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible200 at Pocono Raceway; his first visit to the historic raceway.

Pocono Raceway, also known as The Tricky Triangle, first opened in 1968. Conducting its first ARCA Racing Series event on the three-quarter mile oval in 1969, the series endured a fourteen-year hiatus before returning to the 2.5-mile triangle in 1983. Posting speeds close to 200 MPH into the first turn, Pocono Raceway’s long straightaways and tight turns make the track a unique character for drivers to conquer.

“I’m pumped up to be heading to Pocono Raceway this weekend in my No. 52 Drydene Performance Products Ford for Ken Schrader Racing,” said Rodgers. “From what I’ve heard, Pocono Raceway has characteristics much like a road course - that really excites me. I really hope to improve upon our eighth-place run in Charlotte.”

“Racing at Pocono Raceway is a tremendous opportunity for Drydene to showcase our brand. We are super excited to be here in our backyard to interact with our customers, employees and our loyal and growing fan base,” said Dave Klinger, president of Drydene Performance Products. “I’m confident that Will Rodgers and KSR will be very competitive and our hope is that we will be celebrating a great finish Friday night.”

WILL RODGERS PREPPED FOR DAYTONA ARCA SERIES DEBUT

CONCORD, N.C. (February 7, 2018) – Will Rodgers, a two-time NASCAR K & N Pro Series winner is prepped and ready to drive for Ken Schrader Racing (KSR) in the ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) Racing Series opening event this Saturday, February 10 in the Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida. Ken Schrader Racing is the defending ARCA Racing Series Championship team and will field two race cars in 2018.

Rodgers, born in Maui, Hawaii in 1994, tested last month at Daytona International Speedway in a No. 52 KSR Ford, and learned about the 2.5-mile historic superspeedway from team owner Kenny Schrader, crew chief Donnie Richeson and defending Champion Austin Theriault.

“Saturday night will be the first time that I race on an oval larger than a mile. This is a big step for my racing development. Superspeedway races are unpredictable, but I am confident in the No. 52 Ford and team behind me. KSR has had great success at Daytona and I believe that will shorten the learning curve. Ultimately, I am very excited to represent Drydene and put on the best performance possible for them,” said Rodgers.

“Being a part of a historic venue like Daytona, to launch our brand on a national scale with live television and fanatic, loyal fans is awesome,” said Dave Klinger, president of Drydene Performance Products. “I think Drydene, Will Rodgers and KSR will be a winning formula. We are hoping to see our team in victory lane.”

CONCORD, N.C. (Jan. 15, 2018) – Will Rodgers, a two-time NASCAR K&N Pro Series winner, will drive for Ken Schrader Racing (KSR) in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards in select races in 2018, starting with the Feb. 10 Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire at Daytona Int'l Speedway. KSR, the defending national championship team, has plans to field two cars this year.

Rodgers, in the No. 52 KSR-Drydene Performance Products Ford, was also impressive in open testing over the weekend at Daytona, coming in seventh fastest overall among 62 drivers who posted time and speed. Rodgers, born in Maui, Hawaii in 1994, took his first laps at the historic superspeedway in preparation for the race.

"First of all, it was a unique experience," said Rodgers. "I had never been on a track more than a mile long…that was an oval anyway. It was a little more demanding than I thought. You have to put a little bit more wheel on it to keep it where you want."

Rodgers also said that he was glad he had the chance to test ahead of the race.

"If I hadn't had those test days, it would not have helped my case for the race. I found out the cars move around a bit…you had to pay attention to manipulate the car as to not get in a bad spot. It was very helpful to learn what the car feels like in a large pack. It was kind of like getting thrown to the wolves. I'm sure glad I got the chance to test."

Rodgers is also thankful for his new sponsor, Drydene Performance Products, which appeared on the hood.

“I am thankful for this newly-formed relationship with Drydene," said Rodgers. "Becoming a part of its brand in the market place is a special thing for me. The program that we have constructed with Ken Schrader Racing in the ARCA Racing Series coupled with our social media campaigns, will find great success on and off the track. Drydene’s brand is all about putting its customers first, while providing the best service possible. I believe we will represent all of those brand attributes well."

The multiple-race sponsorship is the first for Drydene Performance Products in stock car racing, commencing with the season opener at Daytona.

“I, along with everyone at Drydene Performance Products, am honored and extremely excited to team with an incredible young driver like Will Rodgers, and industry icon Ken Schrader," said Dave Klinger, president of Drydene Performance Products. "Will and Ken embolden all the values and performance that Drydene represents. I couldn’t think of two better partners, or a better venue than Daytona to launch our brand on a national scale. I think Drydene, Will Rodgers and KSR will be a winning formula. We are hoping to see our team in victory lane."

Schrader's pretty happy about the whole thing too.

“We’re excited to welcome Will Rodgers and the Drydene brand to Ken Schrader Racing," said Schrader. "Will is coming off a successful 2017 season with two NASCAR K&N Pro Series wins. Having Will with us for select ARCA races brings a new perspective to the team. He has a great attitude and talent behind the wheel. I look forward to Will and Brandon Grosso working together on the track."

Rodgers finished fifth in the 2017 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Points championship and is the 2015 Mazda Sports Car Champion. His love for racing was born in his home state of Hawaii.

"I was born on the island of Maui," Rodgers said. "Collectively, I spent about eight years on the island when I was growing up. I actually started my racing career there. I was 8 years old in 2004…there was a little go-kart track in the middle of the island. A year after that, I won my first championship and it snowballed ever since."
